Furniture Removal in College Park
We take out the heavy pieces you no longer want: sleeper sofas, solid wood dressers, recliners, bed frames and mattresses. Our crew plans the route, protects your floors and door frames, and lifts with proper technique so nobody in your home gets hurt.

Big furniture gone, your home untouched
Most moving injuries come from furniture. A loveseat that seems easy can top a hundred pounds, and a pull-out couch has a steel frame inside that throws off the balance partway down the stairs. Two people handle every lift, we check the route before anything moves, and we take pieces apart when that is the safer way to get them out.
The room ends up empty with no marked drywall, scratched hardwood or sore back. We take single pieces or whole rooms in College Park and towns close by, such as East Point and Hapeville. For more than furniture, see our junk removal and basement cleanouts pages.

What our furniture removal includes
- 01
Route check before lifting
We walk the path from the room to the truck first. We note tight turns, low ceilings, loose stair treads and rugs that could slide, and we prop doors so nothing swings shut mid-carry.
- 02
Floor and frame protection
Moving blankets go over railings and door jambs, and runners go down on hardwood and tile. Corners of heavy pieces get padded so a bump stays a bump, not a dent.
- 03
Careful disassembly
Bed frames, bunk beds, sectionals and tall wardrobes often come apart more safely than they come out whole. We remove legs, rails and mirrors, keep hardware together and leave nothing sharp behind.
- 04
Mattresses and box springs
We bag mattresses before carrying them through your home, which keeps dust and debris off walls and carpet.
- 05
Responsible drop-off
Usable pieces in good condition go to donation when they will accept them. Wood, metal and foam are separated where local facilities take them, and the rest goes to proper disposal.
- 06
Sweep-up after
Once the piece is gone, we sweep or vacuum the spot it sat on and along the route we used.
Questions about Furniture Removal?
Call(404) 383-7247Signs it is time to call for help
The piece is too heavy for two of you
Solid oak dressers, sleeper sofas and lift chairs with motors are hard to control. If you have to ask whether you can lift it, a trained crew is the safer choice.
Stairs are involved
Carrying furniture down a staircase is where falls and crushed fingers happen. We use proper grips, a spotter on the low end and straps when the weight calls for it.
It no longer fits through the door
Some pieces were assembled inside the room. We take them apart instead of forcing them past your trim.
Damaged or unstable furniture
Broken frames, loose glass, exposed springs and splintered wood can cut or pinch. We handle these with gloves and wrap sharp edges before moving them.
Mold, pests or water damage
A couch that sat through a damp season in a garage or basement may hold mold or pests. We bag and remove it without dragging it across your living space.
What happens on pickup day
- 1
You call us
Let us know the pieces, the floor they are on and any tight spots. We can give a rough price on the phone, or come for a free on-site estimate if you prefer we see it.
- 2
We arrive and check the list
The crew shows up in the agreed window and goes over the items with you. You get the upfront price before lifting begins, and no hidden fees appear later.
- 3
Pad, lift and carry out
Protection goes down, pieces that need it come apart, and two people carry each item out. Keeping kids and pets in another room helps, and we check with you before touching anything not on the list.
- 4
Load up and tidy
Everything is tied down in the truck, we sweep the route and pick up the protection. You look over the room, and we head out.
What changes the price
We price furniture removal on the truck space your pieces take and the work to carry them out safely. You know the price before we begin, and it stays the same once we start. Same-day and next-day service is available.
- How big and how many
- One armchair takes much less space than a sectional plus two mattresses. More truck space means a higher price.
- Stairs and the route out
- A first-floor room by the door goes faster than an upstairs bedroom off a narrow staircase. Long walks and tight corners take more time and effort.
- Taking pieces apart
- Furniture that has to be broken down to leave the room, like platform beds or assembled wardrobes, adds time.
- Condition and extra care
- Broken, moldy or water-damaged pieces have to be bagged or wrapped before they move, which adds a bit of work.
Questions about furniture removal
Should I bring the furniture out to the curb?
No. We pick it up where it is, upstairs bedroom, basement or back porch. Please don't haul heavy pieces down the stairs before we come. Doing that safely is what we are there for.
Do you pick up a single couch?
Yes, single pieces are something we take often. The price is based on the room it takes up and the work to carry it out.
What about a recliner or sleeper sofa with moving parts?
We take those. They weigh more than they seem and can fold shut or shift without warning, so we lock or strap the mechanism before lifting to keep it from moving on the way out.
Where does furniture in decent shape go?
Clean, solid pieces are set aside for donation when a local charity will take them. What cannot be reused is sorted for recycling where possible, and the rest is disposed of properly.
Does someone have to be home?
It is easiest when someone can show us the pieces and okay the price. If nobody can be there, we can work out the details by phone beforehand.
Ready to empty the room?
Let us know which pieces are going and where they are in the house. You get a price and a time, and we do the heavy lifting carefully.
